Trivia
Of all creatures on Etheirys, Makhali favors birds the most. While she hasn't adopted a chocobo (yet), she has her large yol, Khudus, and a spoiled dodo she picked up in La Noscea, Mokka. Khudus is Mokka's opposite, though not through any training of Makhali - his natural temperament is easy-going and well-mannered, and he's courageous enough to fly her into the face of the sun were she to ask it of him. Mokka is afraid of boxes that are slightly too large, and will only sleep on the comfy wool rug in front of the living room fireplace despite a perfectly good nest outside. They are both incredibly pampered.
Makhali's terrible at withstanding the cold. Her small stature means that she's often struggling to keep what little heat she generates close by, even with the large coats she regularly borrows from Khasan. When the temperature drops, so too does her mood - though it's nothing that a warm-up spar with a friend can't fix.
Sun's out, guns out! Makhali's favorite weather is bright and hot, with low humidity and a light breeze. She favors the desert environment of Thanalan, and often insists on stargazing trips in the sands of the Sagolii. Khasan hasn't refused her once.
At 5'0“, one would think it would be a struggle to find Makhali in a crowd. Luckily, she has a habit of scrambling to the top of whatever around her is highest to get a better view - so your best bet is actually to look up.
Though an extremely skilled martial artist, Makhali has no formal education. She has picked up some engineering tips over the years - between U'lani and Khasan it would be hard not to pick up some knowledge - but has little to no understanding of the complexities of aether or the intrigue of politics. She knows how to punch good and give snack, and prefers to play to her strengths.
Speaking of snacks, Makhali will never be found without some sort of food item on her person. It's a carryover from her youth, where she would always carry the rations along for longer treks up into the mountains with her elder siblings. While it was meant as a jab at her being the youngest (and therefore, to them, most deserving of menial labor), she used it as an opportunity to always have her favorite foods on hand. If she finds out the favored snack of a friend, she'll always make sure to have some on hand when she knows she'll be meeting them.
