X'verha is a Seeker Miqo'te that was granted citizenship to the Garlean Empire for his inventive achievements and prowess. He has a passion for engineering and working with his hands, and is rarely seen not tinkering with something. He's also a kind soul, always willing to lend an ear or a comforting shoulder. After the events of Sorrow of Werlyt, X'verha became a member of Garlond Ironworks, originally to get his mind off the horrors he'd seen and experienced, and then as a way to try to make amends for the pain his work had caused. He is always happy to aid the Warrior of Light, who he had met when he was recovering after Werlyt.

X'verha was sought out by the Garlean Empire while he was very young and living in one of the provinces for his brilliant mind and engineering prowess. Being a somewhat naive soul, easily swayed by sweet words and the promise of all the equipment and support he could ever want, he went with them willingly. Despite the great working conditions and the top of the line equipment making his job a delight, his coworkers were largely anything but, often heckling him for being a 'savage'. It was then that he met a young Gaius Baelsar, before his legatus days. He was the only Garlean that ever stood up for him and seemed to earnestly believe in his capabilities. Their working relationship evolved into a friendship, and from there, a romantic relationship. And as Gaius rose through the ranks, it made X'verha somewhat untouchable; though they never went public with their relationship for professional reasons, rumors swirled around them. When Gaius took in the Werlyt orphans, X'verha happily stepped into a fatherly role for them, letting them be involved with some of his simpler tinkering and being there for them when Gaius could not.
